Summary
In 1980 Madrid, filmmaker Enrique Goded is scrambling for inspiration. A bearded young man arrives at his production office, claiming to be his old parochial school friend Ignacio Rodriguez. Ignacio has written a story called "The Visit" about their early experiences with a sexually predatory priest named Manolo, which would make a great project--but only if he can play the lead. Enrique takes the story home and reads. And reads. Filled with standard deceits, double-crosses, passions, desires, seductions, crimes of the flesh and of lucre, this film noir thriller is appropriately convoluted and dark, and involves blackmail, false identities, lust, drug addiction, and cover-ups--just for starters--since the story we see may or may not be the one that Enrique read
